These mounting blocks with linear bearings are ideal for any type of machinery requiring a sliding movement.

You can buy precision 12mm rod from engineering suppliers locally in a variety of grades, such as silver steel, stainless steel or chrome plated. At 12mm it is probably best to invest in solid rod if you wish to use any reasonable length to avoid errors due to sagging in the middle.

The ball bearing liners are held in the housing with a circlip at each end. The aluminium housing is 36mm long, 42mm wide and total height is 28mm. As you can see they are quite compact, making a nice tidy linear motion stage.
